Welcome to Katherine Picard

as a exchange student between France and Quebec

Katherine Picard is a first year PhD student in Dr Marie-Ève Tremblay’s laboratory at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). She is interested in the roles of microglia, the resident immune cells of the central nervous system, in the synaptic remodeling that occurs during sleep. Katherine is at the NutriNeuro laboratory for one year as part of a student exchange. She will perform, under the supervision of Dr Agnès Nadjar, electroencephalography experiments in mice deficient in microglia to evaluate the consequences on sleep-wake activity.
